MINUTES OF PYA MEETING
Held on Thursday, December 6th, 2007

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Tom Patterson Becky Dibble
President Brian Swank called the meeting to order at 6:57 pm. Johna Swank read the Minutes from the previous meeting. Motion to accept Minutes by Brian Swank, second by Christi Ludwig. Christi Ludwig read the treasurer’s report. Brian Swank made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report, seconded by Shannon Johnson. $4,576.11 in General Fund.
At the executive meeting it was discussed to get a list together of members who did not meet their membership requirements. We will need to decide whether or not to raise membership fee to $90.00. Possibly to run add in Pennysaver and making a flyer to send home with students about PYA membership sign-ups coming up.
FOOTBALL: Jamie VonKramer present. Season is over. We had the banquet and everything was a success. $3,628.52 in account.
CHEERLEADING: Shannon Johnson present. Season over. She is looking into new Varsity uniforms for next season. $1,521.59 in account.
TRAVEL SOCCER: Wendy Houseknecht present. There will be sign-ups at the end of January. Still working on the indoor/outdoor soccer activities. $428.66 in account.
NON-TRAVEL SOCCER: No coordinator present. $1,007.37 in account.
BASKETBALL: Roy Neeland present. There are a total of 75 kids. Uniforms were ordered 3 weeks ago and still waiting for them to be delivered. Elba and Oakfield helped make schedule. Games will be held at the Intermediate school. $2,054.63 in account.
SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL: Brian Swank, Christi Ludwig, and Tim Sanner present. Nothing new for Softball. Tim is slowly collecting equipment. Brian has meeting with coordinators on Thursday, December 13th. They will discuss adding Akron and making divisions so that no one has to travel too far. A Baseball committee meeting will be scheduled soon. Possibly have sign-ups with Soccer. - $203.63 in account.
WRESTLING: Tim Sanner present. There are 16 kids. Our tournament is scheduled for January 19th at the high school. They are in need of helpers to do food.[ order, serve, oversee] There will need to be breakfast and lunch. Need to decide if there will be Round Robin or Bracket Tournament and if we will do Raffle this year. Also, if anyone knows of someone who could coach please let us know. $1,193.15 in account.
FOOD BOOTH: There is a bad smell inside, but not sure from what. Someone left freezer on and open even though the school said they turned everything off. Definitely need a new foodbooth committee next year.
COMMITTEES: Nothing new.
OLD BUSINESS: Nominations are done. The new Sergeant of Arms will be Roy Neeland. Everyone else will remain the same. In January we will appoint two members and in February we will vote on it. Registration fees will be raised to $90.00. There will also be a flyer made up and sent home with students.
NEW BUSINESS: Corfu Village will be having a Winter Fest on January 26th, would PYA like to have a booth? Possibly Beef on Wick and it will run from around 2:00-6:00. The rain out date is February 2nd. From January to March we will have member registrations for new year.
NEW MEMBERS: Nothing new to report.
