MEETING MINUTES Thursday, November 3, 2005

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: John Wetzel
President Kellie Kelsey called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm. Secretary read the Minutes from the previous meeting. Motion to accept Minutes by Kellie Kelsey, seconded by Rebecca Dyson. Treasurer Christie Ludwig read the treasurer's report. Sue Ryckman made a motion to accept the treasurer's report, seconded by Shannon Johnson. $2,992.77 in General Fund.
FOOTBALL: Coordinator Jerry Cox present. All-Star game sign-up sheet is going around. Becky Dibble and Sharon Wells are contacting parents to sign-up. Need an announcer for the third game, if anyone is interested. PeeWees are NOFA West Division Champions. Lost East/West Championship game to Medina. Football Committee meeting with PYA Board in January. Banquet is on Nov. 19, Darien Fire Hall. Uniform drop-off Nov. 17, 6-7pm at PYA building. Jerry Cox will be stepping down from committee due to personal reasons. $1,498.45 in account.
CHEERLEADING: Shannon Johnson and Rebecca Dyson present. Finishing up season. Alexander competition coming up on November 12. Attended NOFA competition on Oct. 9th. Pee-Wee and Varsity took third place. JV took 1st place and Best Cheer. Varsity attended EMW competition and took 4th place. Banquet is scheduled for November 19 at the Darien Fire Hall, 1-3 pm. Trophies have been ordered. All-Star practice was on 11/2 at Pembroke. Nov. 17, 6-7pm is uniform drop-off at the PYA Building. No uniform, no trophy. NOFA All-Star team tryouts are on Nov. 14-16. Two girls from each squad are trying out. Cheerleading will buy hair bows for girls for 2006 season. Would like to have a cheerleading clinic in 2006. A couple parents are interested in helping out with that. One St. Clair award going out this year, possibly two next year. $2,908.31 in account.
TRAVEL SOCCER: Coordinator Steve Chapman present. No new news. $109.38 in account.
NON-TRAVEL SOCCER No Coordinators present. $1,755.14 in account.
BASKETBALL: Coordinator Roy Neeland present. No more sign-ups. 86 kids signed up. 20 kids per team 3rd & 4th grade boys and girls. Practices have begun. Spoke with Chuck Florentino. A couple of schools have dropped out of league. Looking at Pavilion and Attica, Roy-Hart for 5th and 6th grade. $1,500.50 in account.
SOFTBALL: Coordinator Kellie Kelsey present at meeting. Nothing new. $269.68 in account.
BASEBALL: Coordinators Brian Swank and Christie Ludwig present at meeting. Nothing new. $634.15 in account.
WRESTLING: No Coordinator present. Christie reports practices will begin Dec. 6th. $534.23 in account.
FOOD BOOTH: Becky Dibble not present.
OLD BUSINESS: No old business.
NEW BUSINESS: Nominations for PYA Board were taken. Brian Swank stepping down from Vice President. Nominations were: President: Kellie Kelsey; Vice President: Rebecca Dyson; Treasurer: Christie Ludwig; Secretary: Sue Ryckman; Sgt. Of Arms: Brian Swank. People interested in being Appointed Members were Shannon Johnson and Jacquie Phillips. The 2006 Board will pick two appointed members to sit on board.
NEW MEMBERS: Membership opens up January to March of 2006. Need to attend a meeting to sign-up.
Kellie Kelsey made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:50pm, seconded by Sue Ryckman.
The Next meeting will take place Thurs., December 1, at 7:00 pm. In cafeteria.
