MINUTES OF PYA MEETING Held on Thursday, June 1, 2006

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Brian Swank, and Shannon Johnson.
President Kellie Kelsey called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Secretary read the Minutes from the previous meeting. Motion to accept Minutes by Kellie Kelsey, seconded by Rebecca Dyson. Treasurer Christie Ludwig read the treasurer's report. Kellie Kelsey made a motion to accept the treasurer's report, seconded by Sue Ryckman. $1452.05 in General Fund.
FOOTBALL: No coordinator present at meeting. Sign-ups were held on June 12 & 13 at high school. $3065.07 in account.
CHEERLEADING: Jacquie Phillips and Rebecca Dyson present. Nothing new to report. $4278.41 in account.
TRAVEL SOCCER: No coordinator present. Season has started. $548.46 in account.
NON-TRAVEL SOCCER Lindsey Dibble present. Pictures are set for Wednesday and Thursday. Fields are done and nets are out. Credit to soccer coordinators for having banquet, pictures, etc. all set and ready to go before season started. Great job. $4470.85 in account.
BASKETBALL: No Coordinator present. Nothing new to report. $839.39 in account.
SOFTBALL: Coordinator Kellie Kelsey present at meeting. Season started. Going well, except for a shin guard mix-up. $712.87 in account.
BASEBALL: Coordinator Christie Ludwig present at meeting. Picnic scheduled for Aug. 19 at Kiwanis Park. Pitching machines being used. Season is underway. $985.45 in account.
WRESTLING: Coordinator not present. Nothing new. $1147.82 in account.
FOOD BOOTH: There was a propane leak at the building. Building was full of gas. A gas safety check was conducted by Burnwell Gas company. Found no problems. PYA working with school on getting building open again and cooking again. Suggestion was made to try and get the building painted, possibly asking the Redesign Class to do a mural on the building.
COMMITTEES: Krysta Fenton & Melissa Fagan were awarded the PYA scholarships. Banquet is tonight. There were six applicants, all girls. All of which were very deserving. Committee reports that it was a difficult to choose just two.
OLD BUSINESS: $200.00 was deposited into each sports account from the General Fund.
NEW BUSINESS: NYSCOBA made a donation of $500 to PYA at the request of Chris Tatarski. $400 was given to the 9-10 year team to purchase equipment. $100 left in baseball account for trophies. There has been information that some of the $400 will be used to purchase jackets for the 9-10 yr. old team only. PYA Board does not agree with the idea - need to buy for all, not just one. We will be getting more info and contacting involved individuals.
NEW MEMBERS: 2006 Membership is closed.
Kellie Kelsey made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:32pm, seconded by Sue Ryckman.
The Next meeting will take place Thurs., July 6th, 2006, at 7:00 pm. In cafeteria.
