MINUTES OF PYA MEETING
Held on Thursday, February 2, 2006

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:
None.

President Kellie Kelsey called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.  Secretary read the Minutes from the previous meeting. Motion to accept Minutes by Kellie Kelsey, seconded by Rebecca Dyson. Treasurer Christie Ludwig read the treasurer's report.  Sue Ryckman made a motion to accept the treasurer's report, seconded by Kellie Kelsey. $3471.88 in General Fund.

FOOTBALL:
PYA Board appointed the following as members of the Football Committee for 2006:  Mark Dibble, Jamie Johnson, Scott Birkby, Jaime VonKramer, and Jim Sutherland.  NOFA meeting scheduled next week. Proposals regarding four teams and weight requirements will be voted on.  There will be voting for a new President and Treasurer for NOFA league. League fee of $50.00 per team needs to be paid at NOFA meeting.  $1701.95 in account.

CHEERLEADING:
Shannon Johnson, Rebecca Dyson, and Jacquie Phillips present.   Nothing new to report. Looking to have sign-ups in April.   $1903.29 in account.

TRAVEL SOCCER:
Coordinator Steve Chapman present. Sign-ups are good. 19 and under girls a little low, as well as 16 and under boys.  Looking to have non-travel soccer buy their own line machine.  $109.38 in account.

NON-TRAVEL SOCCER:
Lindsey Dibble present.   Sign-ups will be 2/21 & 2/25.  $30.00 registration fee. Final date for sign-ups is 3/15. Purchased four new nets, bags, whistles, and looking to purchase line machine. $1755.14 in account.

BASKETBALL:
Coordinator Roy Neeland not present.   $638.32 in account.

SOFTBALL:
Coordinator Kellie Kelsey present at meeting.  Softball sign-ups are 2/8 at Intermediate School. Need 11/12 year olds.    Contact Kellie if interested in coaching.    $374.68 in account.

BASEBALL:
Coordinators Brian Swank and Christie Ludwig present at meeting.    30 kids signed up at Primary School sign-up. Next sign-up at Intermediate School, Feb. 8.  Need kids for ages 9-15.  Time to sign-up for Babe Ruth also. Babe Ruth begins in July. Deadline for registration is Feb. 21 before league meeting.  $20.00 T-ball, $45.00 7-12 years, $60.00 Babe Ruth and Sr. Babe Ruth.  Steve Kopper running Sr. Babe Ruth.  Need coaches applications filled out if interested in coaching.  $1269.15 in account.

WRESTLING:
Tom Patterson  present.  Going well. Working with high school for season. Possible tournament for April 2nd at Pembroke HS.  Need help with cooking and selling food and drink.  Ten to 15 kids have been attending tournaments. $768.23 in account.

FOOD BOOTH:
Becky Dibble present.  PYA board voted to approve the purchase of two cash registers at a cost of $99.00 a piece.

OLD BUSINESS:
Coordinator binders were put together and handed out containing information and ideas for running each sport.  Binders to be handed down to new coordinators in future. 

NEW BUSINESS:
Voting by membership approved an increase to $500.00 scholarships. Two scholarships are usually awarded each year.

COMMITTEES:
Scholarship Committee has been formed. Kellie Kelsey, Steve Chapman, Becky Dibble, and Rebecca Dyson. New applications are being made up.  Will be left in high school office soon.

NEW MEMBERS:
The following have renewed their memberships for 2006, or became new members: Joe Dellapenta, Tom Nichols, Chris Tatarski, Michelle Cansdale, Alan Miano, Tina Curtis, Tom Patterson, Todd & Amy Skeet. Membership deadline is 3/2/06. 

Kellie Kelsey made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00pm, seconded by Sue Ryckman.

The Next meeting will take place Thurs., March 2, 2006, at 7:00 pm. In cafeteria.
